Flipping the traditional directory model, Directorist – Post Your Need empowers users to post requests instead of just browsing listings. This plugin opens a two-way interaction channel where clients describe the service they need, and directory members can respond with offers or proposals.

Once activated, the frontend displays a “Post Your Need” form where users can submit details such as service category, budget, deadline, and description. These needs are published as public posts or can be kept private, depending on admin settings. Service providers can then browse these needs and submit responses directly through their dashboards.

Developed using Directorist’s API-driven infrastructure, the module supports custom form fields, email notifications, and moderation controls. It also integrates with membership and pricing add-ons, enabling monetization of leads or premium visibility.

This feature is particularly valuable for job boards, freelance directories, and marketplaces seeking a dynamic and interactive service exchange model.
